Client Entry Sequential lab numbers are assigned to each specimen received in the lab. Each lab number rolls over to Lab #1 on Jan 1 of the current year. Multiple year lab numbers can be assigned to the same client. Client names may be entered by searching for the client name using the last few letters of the last name and the first few letters of the first name (the range in user selected). Ages for the search may be exact DOB or +/- 1 or 2 years or none. A sorted list matching the search parameters is available and the client name may be selected by double clicking the client name. Remote entry of client information is available with our TBC module. A lab slip is printed at the remote site and accession information is available on the lab computer (network access required) . Clicking on the accession # will add all the information except date and time received into the system, allowing for 2 click entry of laboratory information.
Date received and date taken is accessible from a clickable calendar and date taken may be assigned as unknown ("??/??/??"). Dates are stored as integers internally and are used as searchable items in the Search program. Dates are valid until the year 2999, at which time, we will update the software at no charge. Specimen name is from a user defined buttons for one click entry or may be added as free text. The clinic name is picked from a drop down box or the clinic number may be added directly. A button is available which stores the last time received entry to speed up batch entry of specimens. 2x and 3x buttons are available when multiple sequential lab numbers are assigned to the same client. Billing is an invoice listing program...It is typically used to search for tests performed by clinics in any given month and then print invoices for those clinics. It does not bill Medicare or Insurance directly. The search module allows you to search for any single test using any data entry parameter as a search key. Statistics for the search are automatically generated from the found items. All items my be selected by check boxes, radio buttons, drop down lists or free text, depending upon the needs of the search parameter. Lookup Lookup will list client results attached to the client for a historical review of all tests run on the client. Results may be printed and can be sorted by lab number, test name, date reported, date
Worksheets Customized worksheets are printed for each module in various formats. User defined switches are available to customize the worksheet to the individual needs of laboratories (customizing is by lab request for new items). The worksheets print imbedded Quality Control information (Item name, lot # and Expiration date) for up to 30 QC items per test. Speed keys and RS-232 interfaces are used wherever possible to make rapid, accurate rdata entry of results easy to do. Lab Slips Lab slips are printed in an 8x11 inch format for each test. The printing module allows for searching by a report date and/or clinic to compile the tests into batches before sending the slips to the printer. Lab slip information includes comments, canned phrases, expanded comments (up to 50 lines per test), drug susceptibility (TB only) and all of the information added during client entry.
Last 100 The Last 100 program is a quick listing of the last 100 specimens received in the laboratory by test name. In practice, it can be distributed to nursing or clinic sites for a quick answer to the question "What is the status of ______?" It cuts down the number of phone calls to the laboratory dramatically. Multiple pages of 100 specimens can be accessed, if necessary.
